Sometimes it’s hard to find maternity clothing that’s the right amount of glam. I’ve had this problem both pregnancy’s now, which isn’t fun! Thankfully I’ve come up with different ways to add things like sequins, glitter, leopard and other funky patterns into my maternity wear when the stores don’t seem to have what I’m looking for. This skirt right here was one of my “maternity style hacks.”
When I’m wanting a fun outfit like this one above, I try to find pieces in my closet that I already own that could work with a growing belly. I also try to shop for transitional pieces like this when I’m not pregnant, to give me more options when that time comes. This skirt I picked up a while ago from Macy’s, and it’s made of a stretchy material…perfect for when I’m pregnant ( and not pregnant!). This skirt has been really fun to pair with my more simpler items when I’m feeling like I need some sparkle on a dreary winter day.
My top Maternity clothing tip: Shop and plan for years ahead! Pick pieces that you know you can wear whether you’re pregnant or not, that way you don’t have to spend a ton of money on extra clothing to dress the bump!
