Ya’ll, one of my favorite things about Texas, are the insanely beautiful sunsets we have. There is something so peaceful and warm about the orange sky setting over grassy fields, farms, and our suburban neighborhoods. I’m a sucker for this skyline.
Story behind this photoshoot: Earlier in the day, I went to Kroger to grab a few things, when I noticed they were selling bunches of sunflowers for only $1 each. I went a little crazy and kept grabbing more and more…until I ended up with 10 bunches! To be fair, I was going to stop at 5…but my sweet 4 year old kept finding the prettiest bunches…and we just had to get them.
I came home and surprised (more like shocked) my husband with about 50 sunflower stems. He was so confused, but like most crazy things I do….he just let’s me go with just a smirk. I was so excited to spread sunflowers all over my house, and I ended up making 4 large, sunny bouquets to go in each room. It was an instant mood booster!
I also decided that at sundown, we would go across the street to a farm and do a 5 minute sunset shoot with these flowers…because I was going to take full advantage of my find. I am a sucker for flowers…boho dresses…and a nice farm backdrop. These pictures turned out insanely beautiful, and it was literally just taken on my iphone! I love these spontaneous ideas I have haha (and hopefully my husband does too).
Also…I had to post these two pictures to 1. show off how many sunflowers I actually ended up with (I could barely hold them all haha!) and 2. To show off one of the 4 beautiful happy bouquets around my house right now!!
