Can all skin types use retinol?
Any skin type can use retinol, but fair or sensitive skin types should be extra cautious, as it may be harder for them to adjust to the potent ingredient.
How do I incorporate retinol into my skincare routine?
If you are a retinol newbie, start slowly by applying it one night and then wait a few days to evaluate your tolerance. If you do not get a reaction, then start using every other night and increase to nightly use as tolerated.

Typical reactions to retinol are dryness and flaking. These reactions are common and can be managed. There are several reasons why skin can react to retinol, including using it too often, using too much of it, not prepping your skin properly or mixing retinol with other products like AHA exfoliators or acne treatments. Start slowly and be patient.
