Eat: Pico De Gallo and Homemade Taco Recipe

Favorites, Food, LifeStyle

Hey Ya’ll!

I hope you all had an amazing 4th of July this past weekend!

Today I thought I’d share a really easy salsa recipe that I love to add to my tacos! Tacos are a staple in our home, and we love to load on the toppings! One of my favorite toppings is homemade Pico De Gallo, the yummiest, chunkiest salsa ever! It’s such a fresh salsa, it’s perfect for any recipe you want t a little spice!

It’s really easy to make, so it’s perfect for anyone!

Let me know how you like this recipe! What’s your favorite way to make a taco?

Ingredients:

  • Cilantro
  • 4-5 Roma tomatoes
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 jalepeno (2 if you’re feeling daring!)
  • optional: a spritz of lime juice or a drop of Dottera lime essential oil
  • For the tacos: we used 1 lb of hamburger, 1 avocado, and Mexican blend cheese

To make Pico De Gallo, all you need to do is dice the jalepeno, tomatoes, and onions into the smallest pieces you prefer. For the jalepenos, I don’t add all the seeds into the salsa, because I like my salsa not too spicy. Feel free to add as much of the seeded middle as you’d like though! Next, add a couple of pieces of the cilantro, and you’re done!

Easy right?!

Next for the rest of the tacos, I cooked up 1 lb of ground beef and added some fajita and taco spices to give it a little flavor. I then made my own taco shells. To do this, all I did was crisp one side of a corn tortilla in some oil, and when I flipped it, I folded it in half. It’s a delicious and fresh way to make your very own taco shells!

After slicing up some avocado, my tacos are ready to be eaten! I love making these simple tacos because they are super easy and quick!

I hope you enjoyed!

xoxo
