When I first saw this skirt, I instantly fell in love with it. I love how the stripes are faded and almost look like chambray! I think this skirt is a great piece to invest in because you can pair it with anything (especially floral kimonos).
Lately my attitude towards clothing has changed greatly. I used to buy a ton of cheaper items to fill my closet only to have them out of style 4 months later or to be falling apart soon after wearing them. I was wasting a lot of time and money with this practice. Now, my plan for clothing shopping is to invest in pieces that will stand the test of time. I only want to spend my money of good, quality items that I can wear over and over again! This doesn’t necessarily mean I’m going to spend a lot of money on an item (you can find such high quality stuff at stores like The Loft, J Crew, and Target) but I do want to invest in some more expensive items that will last the test of time!
I’ve been reading some awesome books that have helped me realize what to spend my money on, how to organize and de-clutter my life, and how to live more simply! I’m excited to continue to show my new style remixing classic items! And if you are interested in the awesome books that I’m currently reading check out The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up and Total Money Makeover . You’ll thank me later.

I love this look! I’m always looking for great office/classroom style and I think this hits the nail on the head for a reasonably professional look for the dead of summer. That floral jacket is perfect! I love the short sleeves.
