A Little More about Me
My name is Lauren and I’m from Fort Worth, TX. I am a mom of 3 beautiful children and 2 big dog children. I’ve been married to my husband, Kyle, for 10 years now and we have a lot of fun raising our kids and living life. I grew up in Las Vegas, NV and I love being from there! I grew up with some of the most amazing people, and it’s a fun place to live! I love and miss the desert and all it’s beauty! Other places I’ve lived: Provo, UT/Eagle Mountain, UT/ Lexington, KY/Plano, TX
I am very passionate about standing up for inclusivity, especially when it comes to the fatphobic world we live in. I am constantly pointing out what needs to change, and I won’t stop until the world is changed for the good! I also am very passionate about sharing my mental health journey as I suffer from many mental illnesses. I want to share all the resources that are out there for those that might be struggling. I believe in loving your body and mind no matter where you are at. You are special and loved.
What do you write about?
When I first started my website in 2014, I designed it to be all about fashion, shopping, and beauty products. Dressing Dallas was born and I shared my favorite fashion finds with the internet. As I’ve grown in the influencer space, had more children, and grown older, I realized that that wasn’t my only passion. Content you’ll find here on LVC is plus size fashion, easy beauty tutorials, skincare tips, DIY projects, mental health awareness and tips on how to grow on social media.
What social media platforms are you active on?
I am most active on TikTok and Pinterest (and occasionally Instagram…I really love stories!). Over there you will find up to date stories from my everyday life, what I’m loving at the moment, my cute family and dogs, and my adventures as a mom and business owner in Texas.
How long have you been blogging?
I’ve been a “blogger” since 2008! When I was a college freshmen, I started a personal blog to write about all of my adventures and it gradually morphed into a fashion blog. When I got married, I decided to quit my old blog (it was called “A Day in the Life of Lolo” but it doesn’t exist anymore…sorry!) and start a new, married blog for my husband and I. I still post to that blog from time to time, and it’s filled with all of our families adventures! After I had my son Everett, I decided I wanted to pick up blogging seriously again, and Dressing Dallas was born in 2014! After years of writing on Dressing Dallas, I decided to rebrand, and in 2020, Lauren Virginia Co was created!
Where can we find your favorite products?
I share my favorite products in a few different places:
Are you a full time blogger? How do you earn money blogging?
I am actually not a full-time blogger at the moment, but I do make money blogging! I’m a part of various groups and PR agencies that offer sponsored post options. I currently link my favorite products on LTK and Amazon, and that gives me a small commission for referring my followers to those products. I also share a lot of favorites from some of my favorite places to shop: Roolee, Gigi Pip, and Mixhers (they also pay me a small percentage when I refer my followers). My main sources of income are from collaborating with brands, creator funds, and creating UGC content for brands!
One thing that I will say is that it takes time to start making money. You need to have a strong readership for companies to want to pay you to review something, or to create content. If you are just starting out, focus on creating amazing content and gaining readers! Don’t focus on the money, or else you’ll burn out quickly.

How do you define your style?
My style is ever changing because I like to mix basics with trendy items. If I could describe my style in 3 words it would be:
Simple. Comfortable. Effortless.
You will always catch me wearing things that make me feel confident as well as comfortable. I’m usually rocking a dress and a pair of sandals in the summer, and in the winter I’m still wearing a cute dress with my favorite boots and hats. All of my pieces of clothing I choose because they can be stand alone pieces or they can be mixed and matched with a lot of other pieces. I really believe in curating a wardrobe that will suit you for years to come, so I try and share items that are designed that way!
My style right now is a little mix of boho with Y2K style. I love that there are fun patterns coming back from my childhood, and I love pairing that with simple cottage core silhouettes that are chic and comfy. I like to stick with more basic colors, but I’m not afraid of adding pops of color to my outfit as well!
