Fall is upon us, and it’s time to show off all the yummy Fall treats and create beautiful Fall crafts. This is my favorite time of the year to bake and to create because of the yummy flavors and beautiful colors during this season. Today I’d like to show you two simple Fall recipes and one simple Fall craft perfect for all ages. All three of these tutorials are perfect for anyone wanting to bring a little Fall into their life!
The two simple recipes I’d like to show you all today are M&M’s® Pecan Pie Fall Flavored Cupcakes and Wassail. The cupcakes are extremely easy and fun to make, and the Wassail is a family favorite! Both are perfect season long and are great items to bring to parties!
The Ingredients You’ll Need:
M&M’s® Pecan Pie Flavor
Pillsbury™ Moist Supreme® Cake Mix (and the ingredients the box calls for to make the cake- 3 eggs, oil, water)
Pillsbury™ Creamy Supreme® Cream Cheese Icing
Orange Food Coloring
Candy Eye Balls (or any other fun decoration)
Cupcake Liners
8 cups Mott’s® Apple Juice
1 cup Snapple® Fall Spice or Snapple® Apple Single
10 Whole Cloves
3 Cinnamon Sticks
⅛ cup Orange Juice
First, you are just going to make up the cake mix according to the directions. This is simple and only takes a couple of minutes. Then you will scoop the cake batter into the cupcake liners (about ⅔ full) and then you will drop 4-5 Pecan Pie Flavored M&M’s® into the cupcakes to bake. These will leave some delicious chocolatey surprises inside the cupcakes.
After baking your cupcakes, you will frost the cupcakes to your liking. In my family, we like to use the colors orange and white to make beautiful looking Fall cupcakes! We also used the Pecan Pie Flavored M&M’s® and candy eyes to give them a spooky, Halloween Feel to them. Feel free to get creative with your cupcakes though!
The next recipe is homemade Wassail, and it is my absolutely favorite drink for Fall! This take on apple cider is perfect for those crisp Fall nights. It’s extremely easy to make and takes only minutes to prepare.
First grab your trusty crockpot or a large sauce pan, and add your ingredients to it. Add your different apple juices first, then the cloves, cinnamon and your orange juice. If you’d like to garnish it a little bit more for parties and get togethers, instead of adding orange juice, slice up an orange and add the slices to the wassail.
M&M’s® is also hosting a great sweepstakes! You can even enter through this blog post! Don’t forget to participate, because you can earn some awesome prizes! MARS Bake In The Fun Sweepstakes
I also wanted to show you how to make a super cute craft that’s perfect for all ages! This pumpkin garland is a must for our home every year and we love decorating our mantle with it. It’s also really easy to create, making it a perfect craft for the whole family!
Supplies:
Orange construction paper
Scissors
Tape or staples
Yarn
To make the pumpkins for the banner, take your piece of construction paper and fold it in half and then in half again. This will make it so can cut 4 pumpkins at once. When your paper is folded, cut out a pumpkin shape. This will give you 4 pumpkins.
Once you have about 50 pumpkins cut out, fold the sides of two pumpkins and staple (or tape) two pumpkins together. Proceed to do this until you have as long of a banner as you’d like. Once you receive the length you like, punch two holes in the end pumpkins, and tie two pieces of yarn to them. You can now attach the banner to your fireplace, table, or anything you’d like!
You can purchase any of these fabulous products at your local Walmart.
