Painting cabinets is the easiest and cheapest way to upgrade your home! I’ve painted pretty much every cabinet I can get my hands on in my house! It was no exception when it came to our master bathroom upgrade, and I couldn’t’ wait to update our bathroom vanities. I also did some fun and easy upgrades to our bathroom vanities which I’m obsessed with! It totally changed the look of our bathroom! Check out this easy guide to painted bathroom cabinets and upgrades you can do yourself!
Supplies Needed:
- Paint of choice (we opted for the color Vine Leaf by Behr). We also chose a really good scuff resistant paint to avoid chips later on.
- Primer
- Sander
- Polyurethane
- Painters Tape
- Smooth paint brush to create clean paint strokes
- Drill
- Handles of choice (we opted for these gold beauties)
- Removable Wallpaper
First step for us was to sand and prime the cabinets. We didn’t have a lot of damage to the vanities, so with a good sanding and priming, our cabinets were ready to go!
We went with the paint color “Vine Leaf” from Behr and it’s this beautiful deep green color. I am obsessed with it! We did about 2 coats of the green to get good and smooth coverage.
The last step for painting was the seal it in really well with polyurethane. I did 2 coats on the drawers and cabinets. Check out the video below to see my process of painting!
The next steps were to add some more detail to the cabinets. I used really pretty gold handles and a stunning black and white floral removable wallpaper inside the cabinets and drawers. This really elevated the look of the vanities!
I am so happy with the paint and the cabinet upgrades! It really elevated the look of our bathroom and I love getting ready in there everyday! Painted bathroom cabinets are the best way and easiest way to upgrade your space. Stay tuned to see what I did to upgrade the rest of the bathroom!
