I’m a HUGE smoothie drinker, but man oh man, some smoothies are not healthy for you! They can be full of calories, sugar and additives, which is no bueno!
Then I discovered green smoothies, and my life changed! It’s an easy way to get some extra vegetables into your diet, and the smoothie still tastes great! I even gave some to my husband, and he didn’t even know the spinach was inside (win!). This smoothie is very easy to make, and you can totally customize it to your liking!

Banana Berry Smoothie Recipe
2 cups Spinach
1 cup Pineapple
1 cup Blueberries
1 Individual container of Oikos green yogurt (raspberry flavor)
1 Banana (not pictured…oops!)
2 Large spoonfulls of Berry Blend frozen concentrate (optional…you can also use sorbet!)
1-2 Squeezes of fresh lemon juice
4-5 cups Ice
Just like any smoothie, all you really want to do is combine everything in a nice blender (I LOVE my Ninja) and hit start. Just keep chopping and blending until smooth! Here’s a tip for you: put the ice in the middle of the mix and a liquid at the bottom. This helps blend everything more smoothly and you avoid that burning rubber smell ha!
In the end you’ll have a delicious smoothie perfect for the hot summer sun! I love making green smoothies because they help me eat enough veggies throughout the day, and it feels like I’m eating dessert (I like to trick my body like that!).
