One of my favorite memories as a child was when my Dad would BBQ! I loved the smell of the air when the BBQ was cooking out dinner, and I LOVED the taste of the delicious ribs, steak and chicken that he made. We always were together as a family when we BBQ’d and we always had a lot of fun swimming, watching movies, and just spending time together (with full tummies!).
With 4th of July coming up, I thought I’d share with you one of my favorite BBQ recipes; Steak and Pepper Skewers! These skewers only take 20 minutes total to prepare, and about 10 minutes of cooking time, so it’s perfect for any night of the week! Another plus is that you probably already have most of these ingredients in your kitchen already, so it’s perfect for those nights that you don’t know what to cook!
I hope you guys enjoy this recipe!! This is a definite must-try, because the marinade is to die for!!
Ingredients:
4 Cloves of Garlic
1-2 lbs of Stew Meat (or steak of choice)
2 Bell Peppers
½ lbs of Mushrooms
1 lemon (to yield about ¼ cup of lemon juice)
2 Tbs Dijion Mustard
3 Tbs Worcestershire Sauce
¼ cup Soy Sauce
½ cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Bamboo Skewer Sticks
Salt and Pepper
First, cut up your garlic into small pieces, and add some salt and pepper on top. Next, combine the soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, dijon mustard and lemon juice and stir until combined.
Next, whisk in your Olive oil until combined.
Cut up your veggies and steak (if you didn’t buy stew meat) and let them sit in the marinade for 20 minutes. Easy right?
Next, start stabbing your meat and veggies! I like to arrange my kabobs alternating my meat and my veggies. That way you get a different bite every time!
Grill or bake your kababs for about 5-10 minutes.
See, isn’t that an easy recipe?! It’s perfect for any time of the year too! And it’s delicious!
I hope you enjoy!
xoxo
